Synthetic turf cleaning that treats the layer the smell actually lives in. We sanitize down through the pile into the infill, flush it out, then power broom the blades back up and top off the base. Pet-safe, kid-safe, built for what a Fresno summer does to a dog run.

Or Call Us NowQuick answer. Turf cleaning is deep cleaning and sanitizing of artificial grass on backyards, dog runs, playgrounds, putting greens, patios, rooftop installs and apartment pet areas across Fresno and the Central Valley. The odor lives down in the infill rather than on the blades, and uric acid salts are only partly water soluble, so hosing a turf yard on a 105 degree afternoon rehydrates and warms the residue and the smell comes back worse an hour later than it was before you watered. A pet safe treatment goes through the pile, gets dwell time, then gets deep rinsed out before the fibers are power broomed back up and the infill topped off, and square footage, how the space is used and how depleted the infill has gotten are what the number comes from.
Turf yards, patios, playgrounds and pet runs collect Valley dust faster than anything else on the property, because the pile catches it and rain never washes it back out.
Turf odor lives down in the infill, not on the blades, so a hose rinse treats the wrong layer. We apply a pet-safe sanitizing treatment through the pile, give it dwell time, deep rinse it out, then power broom the fibers back up and top off the infill. Free estimate, usually same day. Call (559) 975-8124.
We clean artificial turf for homes and businesses across Fresno, and the work targets what a rinse cannot reach: urine salts, solid waste residue, embedded stains, leaf litter and the bacteria feeding on all of it.
Ask any turf cleaning company one question before you book: what are you doing about the infill? If the answer is a rinse and a deodorizer, you are buying a scent that lasts until the next 100 degree afternoon. Fresno summers are the stress test and a surface level clean fails it every year.
The first thing we do on site is kneel down and part the blades with a hand. That tells us more than the walk-up view does. You can see how deep the infill still sits, whether it has migrated off the walking lanes into the edges, whether the backing is showing through, and whether the bottom of the pile is dry granular sand or a damp packed crust. A crust means water has stopped moving, and the sanitizer will not reach the bottom until we break it up first.
Backyards, dog runs, playgrounds, putting greens, rooftop and patio installs, apartment and HOA pet areas, commercial entries. If people or animals use it, we clean it.
Because we are an exterior cleaning company first. Turf gets treated as one surface inside a whole property, with the same chemistry-and-dwell-time discipline we use on a roof.
The honest part matters too. If your infill is so depleted that it needs a full re-infill rather than a top-off, we will say that. If the fibers have taken a permanent set from a decade of Valley heat, we will tell you that cleaning gets you most of the way and not all of it. And if you put turf in two years ago and have no pets on it, you probably do not need us yet.
Synthetic turf looks clean from ten feet away. The buildup is down between the fibers, which is exactly where you cannot see it and a garden hose cannot reach it.
Synthetic grass does not decompose anything. Everything that lands on it stays in the infill until somebody physically removes it.
Real grass sits on soil, and soil is a biological system that breaks urine and organic matter down until it disappears. Turf has none of that. Liquid passes through the blades, hits the infill, and the water drains away while a residue of urea, uric acid salts and organic material stays behind against the backing. Fresno then adds its own load on top: ag and orchard dust, spring pollen, summer haze, leaf litter and seed pods that work their way down into the pile.
Two things make it a Valley problem specifically. Uric acid salts are only partly water soluble, so plain water dissolves some of the residue and leaves the rest, which is why a rinse buys you a day or two and then the smell comes back. And heat plus moisture together drive it. Hose the turf on a 105 degree afternoon and you rehydrate the salts and warm them at the same time. Ammonia releases, the bacteria get the moisture they were waiting for, and the yard smells worse an hour after you watered it than it did before.
So we work the material, the infill, the drainage and the way the space is used rather than treating turf like a slab of concrete. Heavy foot traffic flattens fibers and pushes debris deeper. Playgrounds, dog runs, patios and commercial entries take more of it than a decorative side yard ever will, and they get more of our time.
We can pair turf care with the hard surfaces around it on the same visit. Dirty concrete and dusty patios track soil straight back onto clean fibers, so cleaning the turf alone often undoes itself in a week. See pressure washing for the patio, pool deck and walkway side of the job.
Pet areas and gathering spaces need more than a rinse, because the residue is sitting on the backing, under the infill, where light cleaning never touches it.
Deep cleaning means the treatment gets dwell time down at the backing, then gets flushed out of the turf instead of redistributed across it.
Odor lingers when residue reaches the backing and the infill above it has compacted into a crust. Valley dust makes that worse: fine silt filters down, mixes with irrigation moisture and fog, and turns into a grimy layer that grows algae in the shaded strip along a north-facing fence. Left alone it cements. Flushed on a sensible cycle it never gets the chance.
Infill is not filler, and it is doing four jobs at once. It weighs the turf down so it lies flat, it holds each blade upright, it shields the backing from UV, and it gives the surface the cushion that makes turf feel like grass instead of carpet. Traffic pushes it out of the walking lanes toward the edges. Irrigation migrates it downhill. Heat and use compact it until it stops draining. That combination, low compacted infill and a laid-over pile, is what people are really seeing when they say their turf looks old.
Our grooming pass addresses all of it. Power brooming lifts the blades back to vertical and breaks up compaction, the infill gets worked back even into the thin lanes and off the high edges, and where the layer has genuinely dropped and left backing exposed we top it off. Exposed backing bakes in Valley sun, and that is where real failure starts.
Commercial properties usually book for a different reason: apartment pet areas, shared patios and storefront turf get judged by prospective tenants and customers. Our commercial power washing side lets us plan around heavier use and work outside business hours.
One honest limit worth saying out loud. Grooming does not fix a seam that has lifted, a nail-down edge pulled away from the bender board, or a low spot where the base was never compacted before the turf went down. Those are installation problems. We will point them out, tell you plainly that a turf installer is the right call, and clean what cleaning can actually help.

Turf is usually the last thing in the yard to get attention, and the first thing you notice once everything around it is clean.
Book turf with the rest of the exterior and the crew handles the whole property in one trip, which is also the cheapest way to buy exterior cleaning.
Most of our turf visits happen alongside something else, because the dirt does not respect boundaries. Roof grit washes into the gutters, gutter overflow stains the wall, the wall streaks onto the patio and the patio tracks back onto the turf. Cleaning one link in that chain and leaving the rest is how a yard ends up dirty again by the following month.

We clean artificial turf across Fresno and the wider Central Valley, from single backyards to HOA dog runs and commercial pet facilities.
Fresno is the anchor of our route, and turf work here has a distinct rhythm. Established neighborhoods around Bullard, Woodward Park and the Tower District have installs going back to the drought years that have never been professionally serviced. Newer builds in northwest Fresno and Clovis went in with turf from day one, usually in smaller yards where one dog uses every square foot of it. Both need the same work for different reasons.
Because we are open 24 hours a day, commercial turf at dog daycares, pet resorts, apartment runs and school play surfaces can be scheduled outside business hours so nobody has to close.
Turf cleaning in Fresno CA is home turf for us, but the crew covers five counties out of the same shop. Pick your city for local detail, or see the full service area.
Turf cleaning Fresno CA properties has taught us that the yard tells you how it is used before the owner does. A dog run shows a worn lane along the fence line and thin infill where the animal patrols. A family backyard shows compaction in a ring around the playset and stains near the patio door. Ag town yards in Kerman, Selma, Fowler and Kingsburg carry a year-round layer of field dust that never really stops arriving. Foothill properties toward Oakhurst pick up pine litter and organic growth on the shaded side. We quote what is actually on the ground rather than a rate per square foot, and the estimate is free anywhere in Fresno, Madera, Kings, Tulare or Merced County.
Book two or more services on one visit and the crew handles the whole property in a single trip.
