Get The Best Drone Washing In The Valley

Quick answer. Drone washing is exterior cleaning done by a drone that carries a hose to height while the pump, tank and chemistry stay on the ground with an operator. It is for elevations a lift cannot reach or cannot get to: tall stucco and metal walls, steep or fragile roofs nobody should walk, high signage and parapets. Drones apply soft wash chemistry and rinse, they do not scrub, and wind or rain stops the work. Free estimate from Valley Wash Pros, call (559) 975-8124.

The reason drone washing exists is access. Plenty of buildings have a face nobody can reach. A four story elevation with a landscaped courtyard planted right up against it. A steep tile roof that would crack under a boot. A church wall behind a planter bed. A sign forty feet up a facade with no anchor point anywhere near it. A boom lift needs firm level ground, a path wide enough to get in, and room to swing. When those are missing, the traditional options have been scaffold, rope access, or nobody cleans it.

The drone carries a light hose and a nozzle. The pump, the tank and the chemistry all stay on the ground with an operator running them and a second person spotting. Pressure at the nozzle is soft wash territory, the same low pressure we would put on stucco from a ladder, because an aircraft in the air cannot brace against a reaction force the way a person standing in a lift basket can.

What that buys you is reach with no contact. There is no lift on your lawn, no outriggers on your parking deck, no ladder feet on a tile roof and no technician working off a rope over a public sidewalk.

What it does not buy you is scrubbing. Read the honest limits further down before you book, because there are jobs where a drone is the wrong tool and we would rather say that now than after a deposit.

Cost depends on the height and area of the elevation, how much of it could be reached a cheaper way, how much ground setup and safety control the site needs, whether the airspace needs authorization, and what the weather window looks like. You get one written number before we start.

The Service

Residential and Commercial Drone Washing

Most drone work is commercial and multi-family, because that is where the unreachable elevations are, though a tall residential gable or a steep roof qualifies too.

The common thread is not height on its own. It is height combined with something on the ground that stops a lift: a planter bed, a plaza deck with a load limit, turf that cannot take outriggers, a courtyard with one narrow gate, or a public sidewalk that would need a traffic plan and a permit to close.

We also fly work that is technically reachable but not worth reaching. Treating one steep tile slope from a drone is quicker, cheaper and safer than rigging fall protection and walking tile that breaks when you look at it wrong.

  • Three and four story apartment and condominium elevations with landscaping tight against the wall
  • Steep or brittle roofs, concrete tile and old clay, treated with nobody standing on them
  • Warehouse, cold storage and ag facility metal walls above practical lift height
  • High signage, channel letters, parapets and cornice detail on retail frontages
  • Hotel, hospital and office elevations where closing a lane for a lift is not realistic
  • Church steeples, bell towers and tall gable ends
  • Courtyards, atriums and interior corners where nothing on wheels will fit
  • Anywhere a lift would have to sit on turf, a plaza deck, a septic field or soft ground

We are open 24 hours a day, so the elevation over your main entrance can be washed before your doors open rather than while your customers are walking under it.

Why Us

Benefits of our Fresno Drone Washing Services

What flying the work changes, and where it genuinely beats the alternatives.

Reaches What A Lift CannotCourtyards, planter beds, plaza decks and soft ground stop a boom lift. None of them stop a drone.
Nothing Touches The RoofA steep tile slope gets treated with nobody standing on it, which is how you avoid cracked tile and a repair bill.
Less Site DisruptionNo lift on the lawn, no lane closure, no scaffold, no early morning equipment delivery.
Low Pressure By DesignThe nozzle runs at soft wash pressure, so stucco, paint, metal panel and signage are not being blasted.
Faster On Tall ElevationsA drone repositions in seconds. A lift repositions in minutes, over and over, all day long.
People Stay On The GroundThe safest work at height is the work nobody has to climb to. That is the entire point.
You See What We SeeThe camera that flies the wall shows you what the wall actually looks like close up, before and after.
Told Straight When It Is WrongIf a water fed pole or a lift is cheaper and better for your building, that is what we will quote.
Why Valley Wash Pros

Why Choose Valley Wash Pros for Drone Washing?

Because flying the drone is the easy part. Knowing when not to fly, and what chemistry a wall can take at forty feet in the air, is the part that protects your building.

The first thing we get right is the weather call. Wind is the limiter, and a drone dragging a water filled hose has a lot of drag on it, so once the gusts build, accurate placement stops being possible and we stop. Thermal turbulence rolling off a hot west facing wall in the afternoon does the same thing on a still day. Rain washes the solution off before it has had time to work, fog cuts visibility, and 105 degree heat flashes the solution dry on the wall. We would rather move a date than deliver half a job.

The second is the ground. Whatever comes off a fourth floor wall lands on whatever is at the bottom of it, so plants get soaked with plain water first, cars get moved, entry mats and furniture get pulled, and we plan the runoff path before anything lifts off. A drone job is mostly ground preparation with some flying in the middle.

The third is the rules. Commercial drone work is flown under FAA Part 107, which means keeping the aircraft in visual line of sight and not flying over people. Controlled airspace around Fresno Yosemite International and Chandler Executive needs authorization before a flight, and we sort that as part of scheduling rather than on the morning. On site we set a ground exclusion zone with cones and a spotter so nobody walks under the work.

And we still own lifts and poles. Anything that needs contact, gum, chalking oxidized paint, heavy grease, thick lichen crust, gets quoted the way it should be done. We are licensed and insured, family owned, open 24 hours a day, and every job carries our 100% satisfaction guarantee, with 10% off any service and an extra 5% for seniors, veterans and essential workers.

When Does A Drone Beat A Lift Or A Water Fed Pole?

A drone wins when the elevation is above roughly the third floor and the ground in front of it will not take a lift. Below that, a pole or a lift is usually cheaper and does a better job.

A water fed pole is the cheapest tool that reaches height. It gets to about three stories comfortably, it makes real contact through the brush, and on glass and light soiling it is hard to beat on price. Its limits are reach and how much force a person can put through it. Past a certain length the pole gets heavy and vague, and you lose the ability to press on anything.

A boom lift gives you a person with hands at height, which is the gold standard for anything that needs scrubbing. What it needs in return is level compacted ground, a route in wide enough for the machine, room to set outriggers, and a deck that can carry the load if it is going on a parking structure. It also usually arrives on a truck, which means delivery and pickup costs on top of the rental.

Rope access solves buildings with proper anchor points, generally taller commercial towers, and it costs accordingly.

The drone slots into the gap: high, unreachable from the ground, and either too fragile or too awkward for anything else. Its own requirements are a clear flight path with no wires or tree canopy in the way, a legal airspace window, and weather that cooperates.

The honest version: a two story Fresno house does not need a drone. It needs a ladder, a pole and an afternoon, and we would rather sell you that.

Honest Limits

What Drone Washing Cannot Do

A drone rinses and applies chemistry. It cannot scrub, it cannot work in wind, and it cannot do anything that needs a person to touch the surface.

Start with agitation. Gum, heavy grease, chalking oxidized paint, thick lichen crust and bird nesting packed into a parapet all need mechanical contact. Chemistry helps on all of them, but something has to move across the surface, and a hovering aircraft cannot apply that kind of force to a wall without pushing itself backwards.

Wind is the schedule killer. On the valley floor, spring and summer afternoons build wind almost daily, which is why drone days here start early and finish before lunch. If the gusts arrive sooner than forecast, we land and reschedule the remainder rather than spraying a wall we cannot aim at.

Weather in general has a narrow window. Rain removes the solution before it has done anything, fog season cuts visibility for days at a time from December into February, and extreme heat dries the solution on contact, which is the same dwell time problem we manage on the ground, only harder to correct at height.

Endurance shapes the day. Flights run in blocks with battery changes between them, so a large elevation is a series of sorties rather than one continuous pass. That is fine, it just needs to be in the plan and in the quote.

People and airspace set hard boundaries. We do not fly over people, so a busy sidewalk or an occupied patio either gets a controlled window, a temporary closure arranged by the property, or a different method. Controlled airspace needs authorization before the flight, not during it.

And it still needs water. A hose bib with real flow is ideal, and if a site does not have one we bring the tank trailer. If your job needs contact cleaning, we will bring the lift and quote it that way. Nobody wins when the tool does not match the work.

Drone Washing In Fresno

We handle high access exterior washing across Fresno and the Central Valley, wherever the elevation is beyond a lift or a pole.

The buildings that need it here are predictable. Three and four story apartment blocks going up around north Fresno and Clovis. Downtown Fresno frontages with no room to set a lift. Hotel and hospital elevations along the 41 and 99 corridors. Tall metal walls on ag, packing and cold storage facilities out through Madera, Kerman, Hanford and Tulare. All of them collect the same two things above the first floor: ag dust that never quite washes off in a Valley winter, and the smoke film that settles on upper elevations every late summer.

Weather sets the calendar more than the map does. Afternoons on the valley floor build wind through spring and summer, and December through February the tule fog takes days out of the schedule. We plan drone work for morning windows and we will move a date rather than fly a job we cannot finish properly.

Drone Washing FAQ

Frequently Asked Drone Washing Questions

Exterior cleaning done by a drone that carries a hose to height while the pump, tank and chemistry stay on the ground with an operator. It applies soft wash solution and rinses at low pressure on elevations a lift or a pole cannot reach.
Yes, because pressure at the nozzle is soft wash level rather than pressure washer level, and nothing touches the surface. There is no ladder on your tile, no outriggers on your deck and no lift wheels on your lawn. We still pre-wet the landscaping and move vehicles, because whatever comes off the wall lands at the bottom of it.
Wind is the main one. Once gusts build, a drone dragging a water filled hose cannot be placed accurately, so we stop. Rain washes the solution off before it works, fog and low light cut visibility, and extreme heat flashes the solution dry on a west wall. Valley wind usually arrives in the afternoon, so most drone work happens in the morning.
Sometimes. Commercial drone work runs under FAA Part 107 rules, which include keeping the aircraft in visual line of sight and not flying over people. Controlled airspace around Fresno Yosemite International and Chandler Executive needs authorization before a flight, and we handle that request as part of scheduling.
It can treat a roof, which matters most on steep or brittle tile that should not be walked. The drone applies the soft wash solution and rinses it. What it cannot do is scrub, so heavy lichen crust or packed debris still needs someone up there or a different approach, and we will tell you which one your roof needs.
No, it covers the jobs a lift cannot. Anything needing contact, gum, oxidized paint, heavy grease or thick growth, still needs a person with a brush. Plenty of buildings get both, a drone for the unreachable elevations and a lift for the parts that need scrubbing.
We need water. A hose bib with real flow is ideal, and if the site does not have one we bring a tank trailer. Power we bring ourselves. We also need a clear area at the base of the elevation for the ground crew, the pump and a safety perimeter.
It depends on the height and area of the elevation, how much of it could be done a cheaper way, site setup and access, whether the airspace needs authorization and how the weather window looks. Estimates are free and you get one written number before we start. Call or text (559) 975-8124.
